Week 2 – Day 12 – 9th Feb 2025
Topic #5: If there’s one thing you want people to remember about you, what would it be?
It has been an incredibly intense and busy week for me as I attended a leadership program in Sweden. I haven’t had much time to write digitally, but my notebooks are filled with thoughts and reflections.
Today’s writing topic feels similar to a question we discussed in our group: Who is the best example or definition of a good leader to you? So many stories were shared, and many of the qualities mentioned were deeply emotional, touching on how leaders make us feel.
One colleague shared a story about her music teacher. Since it’s her personal story, I won’t share it on her behalf, but it was truly moving and has stayed with me ever since. Inspired by her story, I spent some time painting a small piece as a gift for her. I plan to give it to her before I fly back to Vietnam. I initially wanted to paint a singer, but my skills aren’t quite at that level—haha! So, I just recreated a simple music-related painting I found online. I hope she likes it. 😊

I hope people remember me in that way—not as a leader with a title, but as a leader through action. I want to be remembered as someone with a kind and warm heart, someone who can brighten others’ days when they feel down and offer warmth during colder times. I hope to be someone people can trust, someone with whom they can share both joyful and vulnerable moments.
That’s what I hope—but am I truly that person in action? Do I really live up to the values I want to embody? Sometimes, I feel like the answer is both yes and no.
Thank you for reading.
